Flying Fish Point State School is a co-educational State School catering for children from Prep to Year 7. The school services the local Flying Fish Point community which is located approximately 8km from the township of Innisfail.
The school currently has an enrolment of 60 students and classes are multi-aged. Class configurations at the school vary from year to year according the numbers in any given cohort. Flying Fish Point State School is one of 7 schools in the area. Approximately 20% of our students travel from Innisfail to attend classes.
Our focus is to provide students with the best educational outcomes possible. This can be achieved through determination, positive attitude, commitment to learning, building positive relationships with others and trying your best and never giving up.

The construction part of the BER projects is now complete and we await the orders of furniture to make our new spaces completed. Our refurbished Resource Centre has a work room, extension space for fiction books and an outdoor deck looking out to the lush rainforest. The new computer lab, science and technology centre are an amazing additon to the senior classroom.

Innisfail Young Performers Competition 2011 |
Last week we were dazzled by the performances of our students in the Choric Speaking sections and Choir sections. I was very impressed by the work of our students, led by Mrs Abraham and Mrs Clowes. The students performed exceptionally well. The students have been practising before the holidays and worked very well under the instructions of their teachers. Both Mrs Abraham and Mrs Clowes have done an outstanding job in preparing the students for this performance.
